Mei-li’s proficiency in interpreting architectural elevation drawings and delivering precise, detailed reports ensures flawless communication and project execution.

Expanding her expertise in 2009, Mei-li partnered with U.S. developers to source a comprehensive range of building materials—including HVAC systems, sanitary ware, frameless glass solutions, glass partitions, faucets, sinks, aluminium composite panels, shutters, blinds, bathroom accessories, tubs, and various joinery materials such as uPVC and timber cladding. Story 2

Expanding Construction Expertise in New Zealand

In 2012, Mei-li relocated to New Zealand, embracing a new chapter in both her personal and professional life. Recognizing the unique opportunities within the local construction industry, she pursued a Bachelor of Construction Economics to broaden her expertise beyond material supply and installation into the full spectrum of building structures, systems, and project integrity.

During her studies, Mei-li engaged deeply with the New Zealand construction landscape through extensive site visits and practical learning experiences. She quickly became well-versed in the New Zealand Building Code, Construction Law, and the NZS3910 standard contract conditions, while also gaining hands-on knowledge of regional tendering processes and procurement methods. This immersion allowed her to understand not just the “what” of construction materials but the “how” and “why” behind successful project delivery in the New Zealand context.

A pivotal moment in Mei-li’s development was her exposure to the Standard Measurement Methods (SMM) for preparing the Schedule of Quantities (SOQ). Compared to her earlier experience in China, where quantity surveying was less formalized, New Zealand’s systematic and scientific approach elevated her accuracy and professionalism. This transition sharpened her ability to deliver precise, reliable cost and quantity assessments—essential for effective project management and budget control.

This blend of international experience and New Zealand-specific knowledge uniquely positions Mei-li to guide clients through the complexities of construction procurement and cost planning with confidence and expertise.
